I have served as Superintendent at Udall USD 463 since July of 2008.
Elementary Principal duties were added in August of 2010. Prior to coming to
Udall I was a superintendent in Oklahoma for nine years. I was a principal for
four years and taught and coached for 17 years prior to entering
administration. My teaching areas were secondary science and math, K-12
physical education, and driver education. I coached several sports over the
years including basketball, baseball, and football. Working in small schools
throughout my career gave me the opportunity to experience many roles in
In 1975 I graduated from Weatherford High School in Weatherford, Oklahoma. I
attended Claremore Junior College (now Rogers State College) for two years and
earned my associates degree. From there I went to Southwestern Oklahoma State
University where I got my bachelor's degree in 1979 and a master's degree in
educational administration in 1983. I also completed over 25 hours of
administration courses at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and Oklahoma
State University after my master's.
My wife, Phyllis, is a retired teacher having taught secondary math. We have two daughters. Jessica Jenkins of Oklahoma City
is an athletic trainer/physical therapist and is married to Jimmy Jenkins, a financial advisor. Our first grandchild, Jestyn Reese
Jenkins, was born in November of 2010. Rebecca Stephens lives in Oklahoma City and teaches high school English at Wellston. I am blessed with a great family and enjoy spending time with them.
I enjoy reading a variety of books of all genres. We also like gardening and traveling. I also like fishing and try to spend a week every summer on Lake of the Woods in Canada.
