by Dawn Davidson

May 03, 2008

Congratulations to the Udall High School Forensics Squad for their outstanding performances at State Festival, held at Wichita East High School on 3 May 2008.

Whitney Shelton received a 1 rating for her serious solo "Mick Harte Was Here"; Charice Bryant received two 1 ratings for her events, one for her serious solo "Sorry" and one for her prose interpretation of "One Last Wish." Amanda Kruskop and Sara Wolf also received 1 ratings for their selections--Amanda's prose interpretation of "Memorial Day" and Sara's poetry interpretation of "Yertle the Turtle."

Ashley Kamphaus received a 2 rating for her prose interpretation of "Encouraging Kelly," and Morgan Wilson received a 2 rating for his original speech on the paranormal.

The students have worked hard all season, and their efforts were rewarded at State.  Many of these selections were also performed at last month's spring play on 11 April 2008.
