Kindergarten News

by Tammy Tannehill

November 19, 2008

Kindergartners have been learning about the different food groups and how they affect our body. To help learn about the grain and the sweets and fats group, our friend Wendy Curtice came down one day to lend a hand with making biscuits and homemade jelly. We enjoyed pumpkin shakes from the dairy group to go along with the biscuits and jelly during snack time. Then each student took home a jar of jelly to share with their family.

Tabitha Smith, an early childhood major at Southwestern College, has been observing and helping out in our classroom also. We appreciate her taking the time to listen to our students read.
