In middle school, student council is an organization of elected student leaders who plan and coordinate school activities, represent their peers, and serve as a bridge between students and school administration to voice student concerns and ideas. Members participate in democratic processes, develop leadership and social skills, and contribute to a more engaged and positive school community by organizing events like dances and fundraisers, and by working on school-wide projects or service initiatives.
