Veteran's Program for Community

UHS will host the annual Veteran's Day program at 1:00 on Monday, November 12th in the high school auditorium.  All veterans and community members are invited to attend.  Refreshments will be served prior to the program.

Veteran's Day Program Monday, November 12

The 3rd - 5th grade classes will be performing a Veteran's Day concert on Monday, November 12th in the high school auditorium.  
Students will need to report at 6:45 to the choir room on the southwest side of the auditorium.
Attire for students: Red, white, and blue. Anything patriotic.  
Boys:  Shirt (polo, button-up), pants (slacks, khakis).
Girls:  Patriotic colors, pants, skirts, or dresses.

Isaac Jirak Chosen for District Honor Band

Congratulations to Isaac Jirak (tuba) for making the SCKMEA District 1234A Honor Band!  Isaac will be performing with the district honor band in December.

Changes to the 2018-19 School Calendar

The following changes were made to the school calendar after they were printed:

*Fall Break days were moved toNovember 1st and 2nd. October 25th and 26th will be regular school days.
*The Fridays at the end of each nine weeks have been changed back to early dismissal at 1:05.  These dates are October 12, December 21, March 8, and May 16.
*December 20th is a full day of school.  December 21st will be early dismissal at 1:05 for end of the semester.  January 4th is now a vacation day during winter break.

Flu Season Reminder

As Flu Season approaches just a quick reminder--

Kansas Department of Health has implemented a new policy regarding Influenza A or B . There is a 7 day exclusion period from school from the day SYMPTOMS appear. Students and staff should also be fever free and feeling well before returning to school. ** Remember this is seven days from symptoms, not the official diagnosis of Influenza from a physician.

Udall FFA Creates Eagle's Nest Food Pantry

The Udall FFA leadership team worked with Wheatstate and the Udall Police station to create the "Eagle's Nest" food pantry.  They will offer provisions for our students in need.  Any community member that is able to donate is asked to drop donations off at Wheatstate, the Udall Police Station, or the high school office.  For more details about items needed and who is being served with the pantry, click on the links below:
