Jakobe Davidson spoke to high school students about the history, various career opportunities, and different production aspects at Spirit Aerosystems, during Eagle Time today. He also let students know about the shadowship, apprenticeship, and internship programs available to them starting junior year. Flyers with QR codes for each program were provided after the presentation, or they can contact Tina Almanza to get started.

Several of our UHS FFA chapter members competed in Dairy Cattle Evaluation at the Sedgwick County Fairgrounds in Cheney today. It was an especially great learning experience for our FFA Greenhands. #EagleStrong!
Sophomores Joanna Bonnell, Audrey Hayes, Brynlee King, Liberty Mason, Summer Montgomery, and Bridget Smith attended the Cowley College Health & Human Services Fair in Ark City this morning. They got to participate in several hands-on activities, as well as speak with a number of professionals in various health and human services industries. As an added bonus, Joanna was the winner of a full tuition scholarship from Cowley, which she will be able to use as a Health and Human Services major.

Today the FFA members will travel to Maize, KS for Dairy Cattle Evaluation.
The Dairy Cattle Evaluation and Management CDE helps students develop skills in dairy cattle selection and herd management. Participants evaluate the cattle's physical characteristics, explain their various classes and analyze a herd record as a team.
