Congratulations to 8th grader Caleb Fahey, and freshman Brilee Pellegrini, for being selected Students of the Month for January! Staff had the following to say about each one...
"Brilee works hard not only on the court for both Varsity Volleyball and Basketball as a freshman, but she works hard off the court in the classroom as well. She has been able to maintain a high GPA while participating in 2 sports, throughout her first semester in high school. Brilee is well-liked by her peers and works hard to help resolve conflicts that may arise in her friends group. She is also active in FCCLA and is a member of the Student Council."
"Caleb is a very polite young man who shows respect to teachers and staff through excellent manners. Caleb maintains high academic standards for himself and works hard to ensure that his grades remain high. He holds those same high expectations for himself in athletics as well. He is a member of both the Cross Country team and the Varsity MS Basketball team. He is a fierce competitor and will always give his all."

Here are some interesting facts about school buses.
1) School buses are designed to be 70 times safer than traveling by car.
2) The high-backed, closely spaced seats in the school buses uses "compartmentalization"
for safety.
3) the stop-arm on a school bus was first introduced in the 1950's.
4) In most states, it's illegal to pass a school bus when its stop-arm is extended.
