FBLA's "Can the Teacher" was a huge success! Thank you to all students, parents, and community members who donated to help our local families. We collected over 1400 food items to fill our Eagle's Nest and create holiday dinners for our Eagle families. Every Middle School and High School teacher was "canned", so our students go to spend a relaxing day watching movies. We are very thankful for all of your support! #EagleStrong
It has been announced that the new FAFSA FORM will be available for students to complete by December 31, 2023.
HOWEVER...colleges and trade schools will not be receiving anyone's FAFSA info until January/February. That means schools will not be able to contact students with financial aid package offers until they have had time to process, which is later than usual.
IN THE MEANTIME...Go ahead and create your studentaid.gov accounts (student and both parents) so they will be ready at the end of December. It usually takes about two weeks. Let me know if you have any questions at tinaalmanza@usd463.org.
It is holiday time and time to help others around us. The UHS National Honor Society is kicking off their annual Udall Christmas Challenge. This is open to all middle school and high school students and staff and any community members who are willing to help our endeavor. Please see the attached graphic to see the needed challenge items. The senior class participated in Apply Kansas Day this morning...a statewide event that allows students to apply to Kansas colleges and trade schools of their choice, for free. An admissions representative from Cowley College was also on hand to help with the application process.
