Andi became one of the 104 semifinalists after interviewing with 528 other students on November 22nd. The Gore Committee will determine who the 10-14 DSI finalists will be by December 19.
Semifinalists and finalists receive scholarships at each phase of the competition. The final three Gore Scholar winners will be announced in January, and will receive $64,000 each.

Congratulations to 6th grader Chloey Pope, and freshman Addisyn Barnes, for being selected Students of the Month for November! Staff had the following to say about each one...
"Chloey demonstrates outstanding persistence in reaching her academic and personal goals, always striving to master challenging concepts and continuing to improve, even when faced with obstacles. Her work ethic and positive attitude help her to achieve whatever she sets her mind to!"
"Addie is a focused, reliable leader in our bands. She consistently takes personal responsibility, encourages peers, and helps maintain a fun and productive environment. She maintains high standards, and her positive attitude will take her a very long way."

December 2nd is National Special Education Day, and it holds a special place in the hearts of educators and advocates alike. On this day in 1975, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) was signed into law, reaffirming the importance of inclusive education for students with special needs. As we commemorate this occasion, it's an opportune time to delve into its history, grasp its significance, and explore how technology, such as interactive displays and learning apps, plays a pivotal role in promoting inclusivity in today's classrooms.
