Attention Parents and Families...if your student will be taking Cowley Classes for the first time this year, or if you would just like a little more information for a student who is continuing to take classes...Cowley will be hosting three different orientations with hopes that one of them will work for you, should you be interested.

"Whether your students will be taking their dual enrollment courses online, on campus, or at your high school, this orientation is designed to provide them with essential information and resources. We'll cover everything they need to know to navigate their courses, understand program expectations, and make the most of their dual enrollment experience."

The Udall FBLA officers traveled to Emporia State University on Monday to attend the Kansas FBLA Summer Leadership Seminar. The students listened to guest speaker Mary Decker Shively from ESU in the morning and spent the afternoon in workshops. The workshops included new icebreakers, how to use Parliamentary Procedures in chapter meetings, job interview tips and more. They also enjoyed a lunch break at Casa Ramos!

Our UMS Cheer team had fun during their two-day Cheer Camp this week. Day One included "Crazy Hair/Anything but a Water Bottle Day" and run-through banner making. #EagleStrong!

Our UMS Cheer team had fun during their two-day Cheer Camp this week. Day Two was "Wacky Socks Day". They started the day with an awesome tumbling/jumps session with the Friends University Head Coach, Josh Johnson. The afternoon was spent team bonding with lunch, a trip to Hobby Lobby to get t-shirt making supplies, and eating “candy salad”#EagleStrong!

There will be a Board of Education meeting tonight, Monday, July 14, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the USD 463 District Office (303 S. Seymour, Udall).

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING Board Of Education Unified School District No. 463 Udall, Cowley County, Kansas Pursuant to the requirement of K.S.A. 72-8205, a special meeting is called by the President of the Board of Education of Unified School District No. 463, Udall, Cowley County, State of Kansas. The meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, starting at 6:00 p.m. in the District Office at 303 S. Seymour, Udall, Kansas 67146.

Day 4 at FCCLA- National Leadership Conference: Rachel Jirak, UHS National Qualifier, started the day with a princess sing-along breakfast and then headed to the convention center for a couple more workshops and enjoyed some games at the expo. She then attended General Session that held the knowledge bowl finals and a fashion show (showcasing students fashion construction projects). The evening was FCCLA fun night at Universal Studios. #EagleStrong!

Day three FCCLA National Leadership Conference: Competition day! After competing in the morning, Rachel Jirak, FCCLA National Qualifier, went to Disney World: Magic Kingdom and met some famous characters. She enjoyed some fun, awesome rides and grand fireworks at the castle. #EagleStrong!

Day 2 FCCLA National Leadership Conference: Rachel Jirak, UHS National FCCLA Qualifier, attended the Expo Fair, student workshops, and spent some time practicing for the competition. Kansas state event on Sunday night was Sea World....cirque show, shark aquarium, sea otter show, orca show, and numerous aquatic exhibits. Ended the evening with a drone and fireworks show. (The final picture in this post is the Kansas FCCLA delegation including all student participants and their sponsors.) Monday is competition day. #EagleStrong!

First Day of FCCLA National Leadership Convention in Orlando, Florida, for Rachel Jirak, our UHS National FCCLA qualifier (along with Sandy Jirak, trip sponsor). She attended the Kansas State Meeting and participated in pin trading with other states. The Opening Session began with Optimus Prime introducing the National FCCLA officers. The Keynote Speaker was Alton Fitzgerald White who has been in numerous Broadway and some TV shows (most notable role was Mufasa in the Lion King on Broadway). Rachel is having an awesome time. #EagleStrong!

This is what two days of travel delays and cancellations look like! Our trip to FBLA Nationals in Anaheim didn't end as planned. Flights were cancelled and delayed and we had to stay an additional night, returning at midnight the following day. A huge thank you to Mrs. Perkins and Kimberly Miller for working hard to find us available hotel rooms during 4th of July week in the very busy Disneyland area! Thank you to the Board of Education for approving funds so the kids had everything they needed for two additional, unplanned days of travel! After hours of phone calls, rebooking, and three airports later, we finally made it home. Thank you to the parents of these students for being so supportive during the last two days. Your students were amazing through all of the chaos! They patiently waited through over seven hours of delays on the second day. Isaac, Ben, Emily, Ava, Andrew, Kayl, Gabe, Brittany, Canyon, Daniel and Phillip, you all made my job much easier in a tough situation! - Mrs. Leiblie #EagleStrong
