A huge Thank You to KDOT and Eisenhower Airport for providing Udall 8th graders an amazing follow-up activity to the aviation speaker they had last week! The entire class was treated to a tour of Eisenhower Airport's control tower, radar room, firehouse, and runway, yesterday. They got to meet and visit with employees in various sectors of the industry, try out a few pieces of their emergency equipment, as well as watch take-offs and landings from a bird's eye view.

In a combined effort with KDOT to increase awareness about careers in the aviation industry, Udall 8th graders got to visit with a retired American Airlines pilot and Navy veteran, Charles Dugnolle, yesterday. He was able to speak about his career path that began with his service in the Navy, followed by all the steps he took to eventually fly for American Airlines, and the lifestyle that entails.

Congratulations to 8th grader Marcella Sneath, and senior Kaytlyn McDaniel for being selected Students of the Month for February! Staff had the following to say about each one...
